Eligible Entities
Eligible applicants must be federally recognized Tribes listed by the Bureau of Indian Affairs. Other organizations can partner with a Tribe, but the official applicant must be the Tribe itself. A Tribe can submit multiple applications, but each application can include only one project.
Eligible Activities
Developing and updating transportation safety plans
Activities to assess, improve, and analyze safety data (standardized risk-based safety assessment, road safety audit, etc.)
Safety features to prevent cars from running off the road
Transportation infrastructure safety improvements

Eligible applicants may submit multiple applications by following these steps:
Review the TTP Safety Fund Notice of Funding Opportunity Amendment No. 2.
Complete an Application Form.
Review the TTPSF Application Guide (PDF Format) (DOCX Format) to find a project narrative template.
Submit applications by email attachment to TTPSF@DOT.gov.FHWA can only receive email under 24MB. If your application is too large to send by email, please email TTPSF@dot.gov to request an upload link.
