• Nonprofit Native organizations in Alaska with village-specific projects.
• Incorporated nonprofit Alaska Native multipurpose, community-based organizations.
• Nonprofit Alaska Native Regional Corporations or Associations in Alaska with village-specific projects.
• Nonprofit Alaska Native community entities or tribal governing bodies as recognized by the BIA.
• Public and nonprofit private agencies serving Native Hawaiians.
• National or regional incorporated nonprofit Native American organizations with Native American community-specific objectives.
• Public and nonprofit private agencies serving Native peoples from Guam, American Samoa, or the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands.

Eligible Activities
The AI3 Action Institute can work toward these goals through services such as:
AI resource hub for Native communities:
• Provide current information on AI technology developments and identify opportunities to enhance effectiveness, efficiency, and service delivery.
• Facilitate information sharing and technology deployment to Native communities.
• Act as a knowledge manager to capture lessons learned, share best practices, and develop resources.
• Serve as a central resource for Native communities’ AI activities.
Stakeholder engagement and coalition building:
• Build key industry, government, academic, and nonprofit relationships.
• Establish a public presence, including pathways to advance the mission.
• Maintain a broad view of activities to identify and support partnerships and coordination.
You can use grant funds to:
• Pay for short-to-medium-term staff costs, including the Institute’s director.
• Furnish and equip the Institute’s physical location and online presence.
