Connecting Housing To Infrastructure Program (CHIP) Accepting Applications For Up To $31 Million In Grant Funding
From WA Department of Commerce
Applications are open for the Connecting Housing to Infrastructure Program (CHIP) grants, offering up to $31 million for projects statewide. Up to $2 million may be granted per project. Funding supports affordable housing by covering infrastructure costs for development. $25.8 million is available for eligible jurisdictions statewide and $5.2 million for jurisdictions with a population under 150,000. CHIP helps local governments cover infrastructure costs, such as water, sewer, and stormwater systems, for new housing developments that include affordable units serving low-income households (up to 80% of area median income).
