      Eligible Activities

      Research, demonstration, technical assistance, training, education, or outreach components and prioritizes projects in communities that have a demonstrated wildfire smoke risk and targets public buildings or buildings that serve the public.  Priority project types include:

      • Smoke readiness planning
      • Outreach and training
      • Indoor and outdoor air quality monitoring
      • Deployment of portable air cleaners
      • Identification of cleaner air shelters
      • Significant improvements to buildings such as upgrading heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) units or systems and weatherization necessary to protect occupants from hazards stemming from wildfires.
