This program provides funding for energy audits on county-owned tier 1 (20,000 sq ft +) and tier 2 (50,000 sq ft +) covered buildings and to collect and manage data on the costs for counties to comply with the requirements of RCW 19.27A.210 and 19.27A.250.

      WSAC is seeking to gather information about each county owned covered building across the state and disburse funding to conduct energy audits on covered buildings that have not yet received one.

    • Requirements

      County buildings over 50,000 square feet are required per HB1257 to comply with building performance standards. Non-residential buildings larger than 20,000 square feet and multifamily buildings over 50,000 square feet are required to have energy management planning, operations and maintenance and tracking energy use over time.
