Energy Efficiency and Conservation Block Grants
From WA Department of Commerce
The Washington State Department of Commerce is the recipient of federal funds to support local governments. Commerce has remaining funds of about $800,000 for energy planning, energy audit, and energy efficiency campaigns to build public awareness about energy use. Smaller cities and counties are eligible for this funding if they have not received direct EECBG allocations from the federal government. Non-profits may also qualify; owners of Tier 1 buildings are encouraged to contact Commerce for further information at energyretrofits@commerce.wa.gov. No matching funds are required and the funds are available on a first-come, first-served basis to qualifying projects.
