Garrett A. Morgan Technology and Transporation Education Program

The purpose of this NOFO is to solicit applications for GAMTTEP grant awards and will result in the distribution of up to $1.8 million. The goals of GAMTTEP grants are to 1) attract K-12 students in underrepresented groups to STEM education and careers in the transportation industry; 2) create a talent pipeline from GAMTTEP to other FHWA Workforce Development Programs and other transportation careers; 3) foster creativity and forward-thinking by incorporating modern technologies, real-world problem-solving, and hands-on experiences in the curriculum; and 4) develop strong partnerships between Government, educational institutions, and the private sector to create a collaborative community that supports and uplifts underrepresented groups in transportation.
