Federally recognized Native American tribal governments.
Eligible Activities
Project must provide near-term drought relief actions to mitigate drought impacts for Indian Tribes that are impacted by the operation of a Reclamation water. Activities that support the development, management, and protection of Tribal water and related resources to mitigate the adverse impacts of drought. Activities should meet one or more of the following:
(i) Mitigate drought impacts, increase drought resiliency, reduce reliance on declining water sources,
(ii) increase the efficiency of water deliveries,
(iii) mitigate the loss of water and related Tribal trust resources,
(iv) address drinking water shortages.
