Affordable Multifamily Rental Projects

The Department of Commerce is seeking applications for capital funding to support new multifamily rental affordable housing projects in Washington State through the Housing Trust Fund (HTF), Apple Health and Homes (AHAH), and the Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD) program, as administered by the Multifamily Housing Unit (MHU). Eligible projects increase or preserve affordable housing stock through new construction or rehabilitation. Applicants must execute contract and start construction July 2026–April 2027. Training resources, application guides, office hours, and technical assistance are available. Tribal-specific NOFA will be announced separately.
