Tribal Clean Energy Grants

Commerce is now accepting applications for clean energy projects that are led by and benefit tribes, reduce greenhouse gas emissions, enhance tribal sovereignty and resiliency, and demonstrate innovative approaches to decarbonization through tribe-led and controlled clean energy resources. Project activities include deployment, installation, or construction of clean energy technologies; facility improvements to enable clean energy deployment; pre-development studies, siting and permitting, assessments, and analysis; community engagement, education, and outreach; emergency energy planning and resilience upgrades; and workforce development. Project technologies include solar, energy storage, grid resilience, wind, biomass, renewable hydrogen, geothermal, and other renewable resource technologies.
