Washington Electric Vehicle Charging Program (WAEVCP)

The Washington Electric Vehicle Charging Program (WAEVCP) Round 2 provides at least $19.4 million in competitive grants to install EV charging stations across Washington state. Funding comes from the Climate Commitment Act and the 2025-2027 capital budget. Funding Categories. Projects may include: 1. Multifamily residential 2. Public Charging 3. Fleet/Workplace (tribal applicants and rural public sites only) 4. Innovation Projects (up to $1.5million per project) 5. Site Design Projects (up to $25,000 per applicant) Standard project awards range from $5,000 to $150,000 per port, innovation projects up to $1.5 million per project, and site design up to $25,000 per applicant.
