Connecting Housing to Infrastructure Program (CHIP) Accepting Applications for 2025-2027

Commerce is now accepting applications for a new round of Connecting Housing to Infrastructure Program (CHIP) grants. CHIP provides funding to support the development of affordable housing by supporting local government infrastructure needs. The program has $55 million for all eligible jurisdictions, $30 million for projects in jurisdictions with 150,000 or fewer residents, and $5 million targeted for projects in Chelan, Douglas, and Okanagan counties. Applicants must be city, county, or public utility district working with an affordable housing developer, meet location criteria, reserve 25% units as affordable, and start construction within 24 months.
