Sandy Williams Connecting Communities Grant Program
From WSDOT
The Sandy Williams Connecting Communities Grant Program invests in active transportation planning and connectivity improvements for people walking, biking, and rolling along and across current and legacy state highways in Washington State. The program prioritizes projects in high equity need communities and supports planning, design, or construction. Total of $10 million available for 2025. No matching funds are required. Selection criteria include project impact, community partnerships, and project viability.
Using the Sandy Williams Connecting Communities Equity Need Viewer (arcgis.com) will allow your project team to identify high equity need communities, pedestrian and bicycle collisions, and demographic information about the project area. Communities in the very high and high equity need, and / or within overburdened community boundaries are prioritized for this program.
